This position is a resource to all healthcare facilities throughout the organization as it relates to regulatory compliance, risk management, and healthcare facility licensing. Works in conjunction with the Director of Compliance to ensure effective communications and processes are maintained with government agencies, facilities, and other departments. Maintains records and the integrity of confidential information that is protected from discovery by applicable state and federal regulations.Compliance Associate / Licensing Coordinator Responsibilities
Coordinates and works with organization's facilities to facilitate their licensure/certification process by providing oversight, compiling data, and preparing licensing documentation to include completion of forms and check requests.
Prepares and submits licensure applications in a timely manner to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations by monitoring expiration dates of current licenses. Performs analysis and appropriate follow-up for submitted applications.
Works with internal and external representatives, as appropriate, to support research, timely completion of applications, new facility openings, facility acquisitions, and other licensing and compliance-related matters.
Performs relevant data entry, database maintenance, and appropriate queries for expired licensure, or any appropriate regulatory requirement to ensure consistency and integrity of the data.
Research on various databases to obtain necessary information and interpreting and applying statutes, rules, policies, and procedures, as appropriate to the job function.
Providing accurate, timely information regarding appropriate laws, rules, and regulations, or directing requests for information to appropriate staff.
Occasional nights, weekends, and travel required as needed to complete essential job functions.Compliance Associate / Licensing Coordinator Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent work experience and minimum 2+ years in management or administrative role in healthcare industry required.
Experienced and knowledgeable in regulatory compliance in healthcare industry, including facility licensing and permitting; auditing and monitoring; risk management and quality assurance; and HIPAA/HITECH compliance.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience and knowledge in healthcare regulatory compliance, specifically in facility licensing and permitting, as it applies to the urgent care industry.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a compliance-related role in urgent care setting preferred.
Certified Healthcare Compliance Professional/ Compliance Officer or equivalent certification or educational experience preferred.
